No suspected case of Coronavirus in Lagos – LASG

Lagos State Ministry of Health has dismissed reports of a suspected case of the deadly Coronavirus at a private hospital in Lekki, Lagos,

Commissioner for health, Akin Abayomi, said the man arrived from China four days ago and needed to be monitored as part of response mechanisms.

Mr Abayomi disclosed that the man was in Shanghai throughout his stay and did not have any contact with anyone who was ill or from Wuhan region.

On his return to Lagos, he went to the hospital for check-up but was found to not be exhibiting any symptoms and chose to embark on self-quarantine.

The ministry of health has pledged to continue to monitor the man until the end of his isolation period, urging residents to be vigilant.
