The Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board, LASUBEB has been commended for it’s intuitive ideas, particularly in the area of leveraging technology to develop basic education in the State.
The Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education Commission, UBEC, Dr. Hamid Bobboyi gave this indication in Lagos during a courtesy call to the State Education Board.
He affirmed that Lagos remained a State to reckon with when issues of quality basic education is mentioned.
Pacesetter in Innovative Technology
Bobboyi said that Lagos has been a pacesetter in innovative technology for instructional classroom delivery amongst other trailblazing records in the state, which has overtime improved learning outcomes.
He acknowledged the giant stride of the board aimed at repositioning basic education in the State.
He expressed the commission’s desire for a broad spectrum of development in the basic education, where other states can emulate Lagos SUBEB.
The Executive Secretary urged the Board not to relent in it’s effective service delivery, by ensuring that no child was left behind in the access to quality education, towards the realisation of the goals of UBEC.
The Chairman of Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), Honourable Wahab Alawiye-King appreciated the immense support of UBEC to the board and particularly with respect to the recently acquired buses for the Basic Education Quality Assurance Department, to enhance effective monitoring of schools in the state.
