On Wednesday the Executive Chairman Ojodu LCDA Hon Olumuyiwa Julius Oloro performed the ground-breaking ceremony of the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Office Complex, Ojodu LCDA.
The Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Office Complex will serve as the administrative office of the council. It will also have the council’s training and conference room, medical centre and other essential department of the council.
The proposed facility of the new complex was recently approved by the Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode administration, and the contract for the construction duly bid for and awarded.
Performing the ceremony, Engineer Oloro expressed his delight and fulfillment, stated that the quest for the establishment of the complex was in consonance with his administration’s commitment to giving back to the LCDA. He also noted that the choice of the name for the complex was in recognition of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu selfless and visionary leadership in creating the 37 LCDAs in Lagos State to fast-track development at the grassroots.
Oloro while in a phone chat with our correspondent stated that “against all odds in 2003 our national leader Asiwaju Bola Tinubu fulfilled all requirements in the creation of the 37 LCDAs which Ojodu is of them today, he created the local government structures to help fast track development at the grassroots but the then federal government fought against this laudable progressive sustainable development. Asiwaju deserves far more recognition but this is our little of appreciating this great leader” the chairman posited.
The event which was well attended by royal and religious leaders within Ojodu LCDA and All Progressives Congress chieftains also coincided with the victory party of all the candidates of the APC in last general polls.
